YDance (Scottish Youth Dance) has been short-listed in the Young People’s Project of the Year category at the Herald Society Awards 2018.
The awards are organised by Newsquest Scotland and highlight achievement in the public and third sectors and celebrate the most dedicated workers and initiatives that have had a positive impact on society.
YDance has been nominated for the Me and You project – a programme which delivers creative and imaginative movement and play sessions to vulnerable young parents and their children aged five years and under. The programme is designed to increase resilience, build friendships and develop bonding between parent and child.
The award ceremony will take place at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday 1st November, 2018.
The Me and You project is funded by The Ragdoll Foundation, Bank of Scotland, Endrick Trust and the Ironmongers Foundation.
