YDance’s Me and You project has been named a finalist in the category of Young People’s Project of the Year (Aged 16 – 24) at The Herald Society Awards 2019. The award is sponsored by Wheatley Group.

The Me and You Project aims to deliver creative and imaginative movement and play sessions to young parents and their children (under 5). The main aim of the project is to encourage bond  and attachment between parent and child. Each session takes  the participants on an imaginary journey using props, songs, movement and fun in order to explore the world through little eyes. Parent and child move together to reinforce relationships enhancing  key motor skills, supporting  movement development and essential skills at these essential early stages.

The awards will be presented at a formal awards dinner on the evening of Wednesday 6 November, 2019 at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, Glasgow.
