13 youth dance groups from across the country have been selected to perform alongside the National Youth Dance Company of Scotland at a spectacular celebration of young dance talent.

YDance Destinations is a vibrant annual showcase of the best youth dance companies from across Scotland. The event, this year to be held at Macrobert Arts Centre, Stirling on Saturday 7th March, brings together national youth dance talent in an exciting evening of diverse performances.

The 13 groups taking part were carefully selected by YDance (Scottish Youth Dance) – the award-winning national dance organisation for children and young people in Scotland – after an application process which saw youth groups from all over Scotland apply. The groups chosen are from Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Stirling, Alness and Paisley.

YDance has also partnered with industry body One Dance UK to offer four groups from Scotland the chance to perform at U.Dance 2020, which this year takes place at Tramway, Glasgow on 17 – 19 July. Selection of the four Scottish groups will be made at the Destinations performance.

The final groups selected to perform at Destinations 2020 are:

Abhinaya Dance Academy – Glasgow
Danscentre – Aberdeen
Eden Court Young Dance Company – Inverness
Fusion Youth Dance Company – Aberdeen

Ihayami – Edinburgh
Leeanne Dobbie Dance – Glasgow
