Are you an exceptional young dancer who wants to create and tour work nationally and internationally?
Applications are now open for the 2020/2021 National Youth Dance Company of Scotland – the flagship contemporary dance company for Scotland’s exceptional young dancers aged 16 to 21.
NYDCS members:
– tour and perform nationally and internationally;
– develop as dancers and rehearse in a series of creation intensive weekends;
– have the opportunity to participate in other projects and perform with YDance.
To become a member of NYDCS you must:
– be aged between 16 and 21;
– be from, or living in Scotland between September 2020 and September 2021;
– be driven and dedicated with a desire to develop as a dancer and creator;
– be able to commit to all rehearsal and performance dates laid out in the guidelines on the main NYDCS page.
Auditions will take place on Saturday 12th September at Garscube Sports Complex, West of Scotland Science Park, Maryhill Road, Glasgow, G20 0SP from 12:30pm – 5.30pm. Please note this is NOT an open audition. You must submit an application form to attend. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions it may be necessary to move the auditions online. Applicants will be kept informed.
