YDance’s Head of Participation, Kelly Shearer has been invited to speak at Holyrood Insight’s Tackling Antisocial Behaviour in Scotland Conference in Glasgow on Wednesday 24 May 2023. The conference will outline the priorities for tackling antisocial behaviour and showcase best practice from across Scotland.

Kelly will be sharing details of the CashBack for Change programme; a three-year project run by YDance and funded by Scottish Government Programme CashBack for Communities. The project uses dance as a tool to engage and positively influence young people aged 10 -21 who are most at risk of displaying anti-social behaviours and/or entering the criminal justice system.

Activity takes place in Falkirk, Renfrewshire, Angus, North and East Ayrshire, Dundee, Perth, and East and West Dunbartonshire. The project targets young people living in areas of high deprivation and crime, those not engaging in mainstream education and in alternative education centres, and those already in the criminal justice system at HMP & YOI Polmont.

Holyrood Insight’s Tackling Antisocial Behaviour in Scotland Conference will take place in Central Glasgow on Wednesday 24 May 2023.
