Our past education projects
Over the last 30 years YDance has run a wide range of projects with the values of education at its core.
Working with schools, colleges, teachers and students these projects have increased personal and collective skills and knowledge to ensure dance as a subject grows and develops in Scotland.
Our past projects include:
A dance conference for Scotland’s school teachers, dancers, dance artists and students to discuss the future of Scotland’s dance education ran in partnership with Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
This project offered young dancers across Scotland the opportunity to take part in a masterclass programme with Anna Kenrick, YDance Artistic Director.
Project aimed to get young people active, promote a sense of well-being and a respect for healthy living in primary schools in all 32 local authorities.
A project to support teachers at Dumfries High, Greenock Academy, Langholm Academy and Lenzie Academy with their delivery of Higher Dance.
