Our Participation strand aims to provide a wide range of inspiring, inclusive and creative dance experiences for children and young people across Scotland. With young people at the centre of our work, we aim to remove the barriers that they may face in accessing high-quality dance provision in their local communities, as well as nationally.
Working inclusively matters to us – we believe that dance is for everyone no matter what your background is or what your ability level may be.
Our projects are delivered in various contexts in community settings and align with key social and cultural policies. Through this work, we aim to empower and enable young people by developing their confidence, creativity and personal, physical and transferrable skills.
Dance can have a hugely positive impact on physical and mental wellbeing, and so our projects are designed to provide a safe space for young people to be able to express themselves while having fun and getting active.
