Aim Higher – National Online Masterclass Programme
Aim Higher is our national online masterclass programme for young people aged 14+ who want to develop their choreographic skills and explore the themes and movement from NYDCS repertoire.
Led by Anna Kenrick, the Artistic Director of YDance, these monthly workshops are suitable for young people with some experience of dance who may be studying National 5 Dance, Higher Dance, or a diploma or degree in dance.
Anna has over 20 years’ experience delivering professional workshops, working with children and young people, and creating work that challenges young dancers to reach their full potential. As choreographer for the National Youth Dance Company of Scotland, Anna will focus these workshops on pieces created with NYDCS over the last few years. This is a unique opportunity to participate in a masterclass that will focus on her unique choreographic process and encourage participants to use the themes and ideas from the work to create their own movement and delve deeper into choreography.
