Horizons Glasgow
Horizons Glasgow is our Glasgow based inclusive youth dance company for dancers aged 12 – 25, with and without disabilities. Dancers develop their technical dance skills and take part in choreographic workshops and performance opportunities throughout the year.
Horizons was established in 2015 through the "Let's Dance" European Exchange project involving dancers from Scotland, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands. Our goal is simple, making dance accessible to all, regardless of background or ability.
Horizons meets monthly in Glasgow, guided by YDance artists Jessica Ho and Zac McMillan. We focus on enhancing movement skills, creativity, confidence, and friendships.
What makes Horizons special is our dedication to inclusivity. Our team is trained in inclusive practices, offering engaging dance workshops for young people with disabilities, ensuring everyone can explore their creativity.
Join us at Horizons, where dance knows no boundaries, and everyone is welcome!
Applications are now open for our Summer programme! Sign up here.**

Each year, YDance offer recurring company members the opportunity to apply for a Dance Artist Traineeship. During the 1-year Traineeship, dancers will learn the skills needed to assist in delivering a high-quality inclusive dance session for young people. This will include planning and development of sessions, choosing suitable music and props, communication methods, how to motivate and energise others, and how to work as part of a team. Trainee’s will also be supported to attain an Award in Dance Leadership at SCQF Level 4 (accredited by Sports Leaders) and will join YDance staff training opportunities.
