You Can Make a Real Difference
Dance has the power to change lives. It builds confidence, friendships, and essential life skills. It encourages young people to stay active, express themselves, and develop motivation for the future. But for many, access to dance is out of reach.
At YDance, we’re committed to breaking down those barriers. We are one of the few organisations in Scotland offering free dance opportunities—while over 99% of classes require payment. Our mission is to ensure every young person, no matter their background, has the chance to experience the benefits of dance.
Why Your Support Matters
Our programmes are designed to be accessible to all. 86% of our participants come from areas of multiple deprivation, and many have additional support needs. Independent evaluation from our CashBack for Communities programme found:
✔ 96% of young people reported increased confidence
✔ 93% experienced improved wellbeing and mental health
Your donation helps young people take their first steps toward a brighter future.

Robyn Richford, TV and radio presenter (ITV’s Scrambled!, Capital Scotland FM), began her journey with YDance.
“I started my journey with YDance in 2008 through Project Y and the National Youth Dance Company of Scotland. YDance opened my world in ways I’ll be forever grateful for—giving me a sense of community, an escape, and the belief that someone like me could have a career in the arts. It truly changed my life.”

Your Regular Donation Will Help Us To:
✔ Set up free dance groups in areas where no classes currently exist.
✔ Run dance sessions for young mums in deprived areas, helping them bond with their children.
✔ Support our inclusive dance group, Horizons, giving young people with disabilities the chance to dance.
Dance is often only available to those who can afford to pay. With your support, we can change that.
