Beyond Horizons Community Programme
YDance has a long and successful history of working in a diverse range of settings to deliver high quality inclusive and creative dance sessions.
We are currently working in partnership with Active Schools to deliver new lunchtime and after school clubs in North and South Lanarkshire. Participants will learn a variety of dance styles and new ways of moving and get the opportunity to create their own movement, working independently and with their peers. They will be taught by expert dance artists to develop their dance skills, be creative, meet new friends and have fun!
Schools involved are Glencryan School, Redburn School and Larkhall Academy.
We are also offering tasters to charity groups who are keen to set up dance sessions within their ASN groups. Get in touch with Laura, our Head of Programmes, to find out how your school or charity can get involved.

Beyond Horizons enables participants to:
Access high quality inclusive dance sessions locally
Be taught by experts in inclusive practice
Develop creative dance skills
Increase confidence
Meet new friends and share new experiences together

To become a member of Beyond Horizons you must:
Have lived experience of a learning disability and be aged between 12 and 25.
Be from, or living in Scotland.
Be able to commit to the weekly groups in either North or South Lanarkshire.

Every Thursday starting 22 January 2026Stonelaw Community Centre, 140 Calderwood Road, Rutherglen
Time: 6-7pm

The project is funded by the Scottish Government Learning Disability Fund and there is no cost to participants.
