About YDance

With over 30 years of experience, YDance is a recognised leader in delivering high-quality dance opportunities for children and young people across Scotland, the UK, and beyond. Our work spans youth, education, and community settings, with a mission to make dance accessible and impactful for all.

Our commitment to excellence has been recognised with One Dance UK Awards for Inspirational Work in Education (2018) and Research in Dance (2021), reflecting our dedication to creating meaningful, research-driven projects that inspire, educate, and empower young people through dance.

Our Approach

At the heart of our work is a tried-and-tested methodology that ensures young people learn through and about dance. Every project is designed, evaluated, and refined to deliver the highest standards of quality and impact. We aim to grow the youth dance sector by sharing our learning and best practices, encouraging other fields to see the benefits of dance in education, health, and social development.

We also prioritise collaboration, engaging with counterparts across the UK and internationally to keep our approach fresh, informed, and forward-thinking.
