What is the Youth Advisory Group?

YDance is committed to giving young people a voice in shaping our work and the future of dance in Scotland. We value the views, experiences, and ideas of young people and believe they should play an active role in influencing our decision-making and programme development.

Previously, our Youth Advisory Group (YAG) provided a platform for young people aged 16-25 who had participated in YDance projects to share their perspectives and help guide the development of our programmes. The group aimed to reflect the diverse voices of young people across Scotland, ensuring a broad range of needs, experiences, and cultural viewpoints were represented.

What’s Next?
We are currently developing a new model for how we engage and collaborate with young people. Our goal is to create an approach that better supports young people’s input and influence on YDance’s work. Details of this new model will be shared soon, so watch this space for updates.

If you’re interested in being involved in shaping the future of YDance, we’d love to hear from you. Stay tuned for more information on how you can get involved.
